UMAS animation: The Very Best Of VFX

UMAS: Split, Croatia; Department of Film and Video is founded in a year 2005 as a part of Bologna process in Croatia. Film and Video department has BA course with which students have to learn all the stages of making a video and film (screenplay, filming, directing, montage, sound, technical details...). The Film and Video department is also based in video art, animation, performance and new media gallery articulation. Students also have to attend courses on the theory of film and media. Study courses are being held in croatian and english languages. Proffesors currently working in the department are: Vlado Zrnić, Dan Oki, Sandra Sterle, Toni Meštrović, Brian Willems, Dinko Božanić, Mirko Pivčević, Joško Jerončić, Jurica Pavičić, Ante Verzotti, Dora Baras, Veljko Popović, Sunčica Fradelić etc. In May 2009 the Department of Film and Video with the Institute for Network Culture University of Amsterdam and Platforma 9,81 organized Video Vortex, interantional film and new media conference and exhibition. 30 experts and artists from around the world attended the conference. A new MA degree of Film and Video is due to start in the autumn of 2011.
